How to Apply
Placement at Michigan House is coordinated through county agencies, and we accept referrals from every county in California. Here is how the referral process works — and how families can reach us with questions.
Submitting a referral
Michigan House Inc. accepts referrals from child welfare agencies, probation departments, and regional centers in all California counties.
Contact us
Call (559) 892-9744 or email michiganhouseinc@gmail.com to discuss the youth's needs and confirm current availability.
Submit the placement packet
Send the youth's complete placement packet to michiganhouseinc@gmail.com. Referrals come through county child welfare, probation, or regional centers.
Assessment and intake decision
Our team reviews the packet to determine whether our program is an appropriate fit for the youth's needs, and responds to the placing worker directly.
Placement and arrival
Once accepted, we coordinate transport, intake paperwork, and the youth's arrival with the placing worker. Treatment and transition planning begin immediately.
Questions about our home?
If you are a parent, guardian, or family member with questions about Michigan House, we welcome your call. Placement into a Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program is arranged through a county agency — but we are always glad to talk with families about our program, our staff, and what daily life here looks like.
